This is unbelievable. This comes to 154 New Zealand Dollars including shipping. I'm so grateful for Massdrop. Electronic stores in NZ sell these things for a staggering 699NZD or around $550USD. Makes you wanna behead these store owners.

LarzyyThanks for the kind words! I was actually ecstatic when I found that we could extend this drop to our international members, as a lot of the good stuff tends to be US only.
I owned a pair of these way before ever working for Massdrop that I paid $249 for. I liked them a lot even at that price - great comfort, sexy build, and a fun, warm sound signature that does great with most modern music. So long as you don't come in with expectations of a neutral sound, these will not disappoint. We have a couple pairs at the Massdrop office and they're all spoken for.
At the price we're currently listing them at, this is probably my favorite bang-for-the-buck headphone.

Danny_LiuDanny, I'm confused. If these headphones don't have a neutral sound, why are they called audiophile? An audiophile is always looking for equipment that does not introduce a sound signature of its own. Purity of sound is the objective of an audiophile. So much of what is offered on Massdrop is mislabeled as audiophile quality IMO.

BiffsBizI think there is a small incongruity with your definition of audiophile. While audiophiles strive for clean undistorted neutral sound, they also recognize the purpose and, dare I say, importance of colored sound. As a general example, preference to tube amps for guitar rich music, or live performances.
Though I whole heartedly agree - many of the audiophile drops are really a stretch of the definition.

LarzyyAnother New Zealander cashing in on the deal! ;) I purchased some other headphones from the States for just under $150, which are listed at Harvey Norman for $499.99... Happens in computer components as well :/
