Just commenting on appearance, but does anyone know why they went with a '70s-esqe wood finish on this instead of a matching metal finish? Looks like someone ripped a piece of the dash off an old Dodge Charger and put it on an amp and it really looks out of place.
Also, a $185 power cord - oh boy. If only we could get the power company to rerun their power lines with similar quality then we might see .01% of a difference! They're throwing in the power cord because it's literally a huge markup over a normal power cord. Cost them <$20 - if that - to make it.

VistanceThe power cord really matters, but to what extend does this cord has impact on your system depends on many factors, for example, the power supply of your house, copper inlines really enjoy a better sound than the aluminum ones.

VistanceHere you'll find some answers to your questions, scroll to the end of the article: www.digitalaudioreview.net/2014/06/ps-audio-sprout-a-qa-with-scott-mcgowan
As to the power cord... PC can make a huge improvement to sound quality, especially in low end details, separation and overall background quietness. From what I know about PS Audio power cables they provide gradual improvements to the sound beginning from their lower end cords up to the more expensive and thicker ones.

VistanceDo you spew derogatory comments on each drop that you chose not to participate in? Perhaps you'd like to view some fountain pen drops and question why a particular filigree was used on the nib (because it doesn't meet with your highly developed aesthetic.) Or perhaps visit the Quilting area here and question why the "Gingher Wren Scissors" are $85 for a set of 3. "They probably only cost Gingher <$20 - if that - to make." Seems a bit silly to me. If you don't like it, don't buy it (and you didn't.)
