Blending traditional knife design with forward-thinking materials, the QSP Falcon will appeal to many knife collectors. For the old-school carrier, it features a traditional clip-point blade and slip-joint mechanism that opens and closes with two hands. For the new-school carrier, it’s backed by a titanium handle with a carbon fiber inlay to keep weight to a minimum—just 3.1 ounces. Where the Falcon really flies high is in the blade steel category. You’ll have your choice of stainless steel with a damascus pattern that complements the handle perfectly, or well-rounded S35VN stainless steel (detailed below). Both options are ideal companions on any nice occasion.
Note: At checkout, choose a stainless steel blade with a damascus pattern or an S35VN blade. Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy known as CPM, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
