only problem I can think of is this is watch does not have manual winding. overall a great buy.
  • I would prefer same watch case but put a 4R36 in it.
  • 4R36 – 24 jewels, day date, handwinding, hacking
Handwiding and hacking is very useful. So as Day-Date function.

I’ve had my eye on this watch for a while. Great price and arrived in perfect condition. Better bracelet than most Seiko’s.

Lovely watch. Works well. Very similar to one I had from 1976.

Very nice and reliable!

Nice watch for the money. Well made and keeps surprisingly good time (gains 1-2 seconds a day). Fits and wears well. My only complaint would be that some of the markers and surfaces are too shinny which sometimes makes it hard to see the time at a glance. This doesn't show up in the photos of the watch.

The daily wear timepiece. I’m using a black two-piece NATO strap for comfort.

Great watch ! The stock pictures do not do it justice as to how elegant it looks in real life.

The fit & finish is nice. Never have to replace a battery is a plus.

I really do love this watch but mine does not keep great time. I got a watch wider for it and I also wear it weekly. It runs about 5 minutes fast a week. And you can only wind it by wearing it or using a watch wonder. But it looks and feels great. I got a primo leather band for mine. Edit: I wore the watch for a three day trip this week and it kept time almost perfect time, but on my Versa watch winder it is about 5 min fast a week. So what I think is happening is if you wear this watch every day and take it off at night it has pretty good accuracy. But on the watch winder it runs fast. I have my Versa set to Clockwise 650 rpm daily. I tried 350 rpm in all modes but it slowly comes to a stop with those. And 650 rpm counterclockwise didn't wind it. So I settled on CW only. Wearing it for a few days after not wearing it for a month just reminded me how much I like this watch! Hirsch LIBERTY Leather Watch Strap in GOLD BROWN was my choice for my Black & Gold Seiko.

You can adjust the timeing internally. Go to youtube or bring it to a watchsmith

Made a dial change to mine....

I've had the watch for almost two years now. I was somewhat disappointed by the inability to manually wind the watch. Other than that, it keeps good time and is a handsome timepiece.

Actually I love this watch. In general, because there's no battery. Bit it feels great, if you like heavy, which I do. and it runs perfect. It needs to worn for at least part of every day in order to keep on time. If not, catching up is straightforward. I love the back, and watching the movement. The kicker is- My wife bought me an Apple Watch Series 4, which was a pain-in-the-ass at first, seemed frivolous, but that's more fun (for now). I hope this helps.

Happy with the price I paid but its not the best Seiko I have owned. Good for the money though

A really nice piece. Feels solid. Braclete is not bad at all. Slightly domed crystal gives a nice distortion to the dial.

I bought mine FFF a year ago. Black+gold version in my opinion looks best. The movement seems to be slightly better than the specs says. It loses about 10 seconds per day (but it's not a big problem since this is not my only watch) and the power reserve is about 45 hours. The bezel rotates easily (it's not as tight as in my Orient Ray) and I get the impression that bezel markings do not align perfectly with the dial indices. Worth to note that the bezel glass is also slightly curved. Recently I replaced the original bracelet (very comfortable, by the way) with a cheap leather strap from China as I think brown leather suits it perfectly.

This is how it looks on my 6" wrist.

Lookin' good Mike, I've also had mine about a year. It's been on a few straps but ended up on a Zulu Black with brass fittings. Which also makes it lighter. Regards, X

Sharp looking watch! Get a lot of comments on it. Fun to pair with all kinds of different bands. Definitely on the thick side bit wears well.

Seems these are a bit all over the place, but for the price and long time lurking on this drop, I'm happy with mine. It lasts about 2/3 days without being worn, before it dies. It seems to lose about a minute a day, I wear it to work and find by the weekend it's around 5 minutes slow.
It is a heavy watch, but I like the weight. Worth the price (for me).

Nice quality but a bit on the heavy side. Short "battery" life when not in use (<24h).

Mine will last about 40 hours if it's close to fully wound when I put it down.

Fantastic value for such a solid watch. Great weight and attention to detail. For the price of a nice lunch, you can have a very nice watch.
