Design Features

The microphone features a cardioid polar pattern, which picks up sources directly in front and blocks out sound from the sides and rear. To ensure the highest sound quality at all times, the SM7B comes with improved rejection of electromagnetic hum for better shielding against broadband interference, internal air suspension shock isolation to limit mechanical noise transmission, and a pop filter that guards against explosive breath sounds. Constructed with an aluminum and steel case that’s rugged enough for regular use, the SM7B covers all of your bases for worry-free recording.
