Question for you iMac folks: The USB cable supplied with the SMSL AD18 has a standard USB connector on one end and a micro-USB connector on the other. The max bit rate I'm getting is 96kHz with this cable setup.
Wondering if I might get an increased bit rate (144kHz would be nice...) by using a cable from the Thunderbolt 3 port on the iMac to the SMSL AD18 instead of the iMac's USB 3 port. I've got a 2017 iMac.
Anyone know? Thanks! (The SMSL AD18 is a great unit, by the way -- really enjoying the sound through my vintage JBL L-166s and my HD 58X headphones, along with the extra space on my desk where my big old Sony AV receiver used to be!)
