Looking forward to receiving my first Chi-fi product. Was going back and forth between this and the IFI Nano BL . Decided to save the $60 bucks. Hoping that future iterations of this or the Nano BL will include BT connectivity to a smartphone. Any thoughts on a high quality interconnect to the phone? Thanks to all the community members for the helpful comments.

JazzguitarfanFiio Cl06 if you need micro b to usbc OTG. Perfect sized to pair to a phone and right angled. Otherwise, I think it's something like "Mee Audio" or "Mii Audio" over ebay who makes a nice braided smaller micro b to c cable.

JazzguitarfanIf you are asking about a Bluetooth interconnect get this, it works extremely well. I doubt you will be able to tell the difference from wired as long as your phone uses AAC, aptX, aptx-HD, or the Sony LDAC codec.

hsdrggrBut it is true. Most bluetooth codecs are quite lame, especially when it comes to highest tones, that are most difficult to compress. For this reason standard SBC, as well as aptX are of a distinguisably less-than-hifi quality. Only new LDAC, present in most newer android devices, and possibly Apt X HD come close to hi fi quality. In fact these two are sufficient for all except experienced audiofiles and music professionals.
