Received mine from the latest drop today with MX Browns, White side-printed PBT keycaps and orange LEDs. Much like others in this thread, I'm unable to type a tilde ( ~ ) character using Shift + ESC or FN + Esc. Has anyone had any luck following up this issue?
Aside from this defect, this keyboard is excellent. Looks and feels incredible and sturdy. My first mech with an aluminium case and I've gotta say, it's beautiful ;_;
And now I'll leave you with my attempts to type a tilde, ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````(please help)`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

sundowns I'm definitely able to type in a "~" with my VA68M.
I just hold the left Shift key down and then hit "esc". Works every time. Please note that I'm using this keyboard with OS X Sierra v 10.12.4 , but that shouldn't theoretically matter.

YanboWuNope. Shift + fn + esc does nothing. Try again.

hatzalamThis is seeming like it might be a QA issue. Some people report that they are able to type a tilde while others cannot. I wonder if the most recent batch was bad? Shame for such an expensive board.

YanboWuThis doesn't work on the current batch.
Shitft+Esc gives you ` Fn+Esc gives you ` Shift+Fn+Esc does nothing
Hugely disappointing to spend this kind of money on a board I can't even use for work.

snotrockitWhat row do you have activated on your number-row? Functions or numbers?
If you have functions enabled shift + ESC will result in ~
You can toggle between the two function rows with function + pageup / pagedown

YanboWuThis workaround also doesn't work for me.
I have toggled my num row into fn and I still can't tilde.

YanboWudoesn't seem to matter which row is active (functions or numbers). pressing shift+esc never results in anything except a (`)

XiKHey, sorry to necro the thread, but I bought one of these from someone on this group buy and I am having issues with the tilde as well. How do I go about getting this repaired/replaced?
