For those who don't like the sound out of the box, keep in mind these require an extra 120 hours break in due to their small size.
I play them while letting them soak in olive oil to get that tube sound.

inmytaxiWT? So I soaked mine in olive oil for like 2 weeks and they are horribly muffled! So I tried sauteing in some linseed oil and that was a bit better. I then finished them off with a little 10w40 reduction and they are now perfect! Not really, think they're ruined for good. Ya think MD will take them back?

inmytaxiNo, just regular virgin. Could that be the problem?

treeincYeah, I think soaking headphones in virgin olive oil in an effort to get a tubelike sound might do some damage.
Always use the extra virgin!

inmytaxiGood to know. I did try some WD-40 followed by a polyurethane dip and this did help improve the tonal tonality of the efram frequency range.
