Black and orange make a great pair for clarity and visibility, which may be why the two colors are so often found on survival and rescue equipment. As with all watches, I try to find things that I like and dislike. I like the orange hands and the 100m water resistance, but that is about it. Although they do not have orange hands, I've seen other better watches (imo) that are more in the $50 range. Maybe their is a premium because of the brand, but there isn't much else they are bringing to the show... For $100, you could have a nice leather band or a more scratch resistant crystal, or a light, or some lume or something to make it worth the "deal" of $100. I see older comments that Ashford had the watch for $65. It is currently $85 on Amazon (3rd party shipped via Prime). $50 would be a good deal :) But then again, I only like the orange hands...
I just received mine from Ashford.com and it is a nice solid smaller watch. I have a lot of watches that are much larger and heavier that tend to move around on my wrist when active. For $65 I am happy with the watch.
cbrothThat does look horrendous on this dial - not to mention it's an enlarged 3-day widow and has the word "DATE" printed next to it with an arrow (in case you can't figure it out).
