Made from Minerva Box, a rare vegetable-tanned leather from an artisanal tannery in Tuscany, these watch straps are tanned the old fashioned way, with extracts of bark and liquored with animal fats in wooden barrels. The leather itself is known for its soft temper and suppleness, so it will adapt to any wrist without a hitch Read More
They have been great so far. The leather is quality and the stitching is fantastic.
For sure go with the 120/70 for an average wrist. I went with the 125/75 and I had to punch another hole out (I have a 7in wrist). The brown is slightly darker then the picture suggests but it is very very good looking on the watch and i have yet to take it off
I wanted a nice, minimalist strap for my PAM000 and this one looked like a great choice. I bought it in it's largest size (154mm/90mm) since I'm a giant and always have trouble finding straps - I wear a PAM000 watch like most guys wear a Seiko 5.
First off, 154/90 is complete insanity - I had to add not one, not two, but THREE extra holes to use the thing. My fault for assuming I needed the biggest size, but dear lord. Did I miss out on an ankletwatch phenomenon? On its largest hole, the watch goes half-way up my forearm, which is the size of most men's calfs.
Anyway, the strap is soft and supple. Quite thin, and in my opinion not an incredible value given some of the other offerings this company often has on Drop (that I've purchased at the 2nd largest size). My main issue with the strap is its relative flimsiness - I think it's actually less stiff than a cheap NATO strap. This, like my size choice, isn't the strap's fault - maybe my expectations were unrealistic. With a strap this supple, heavier divers like a PAM000 are incredibly "whippy", and balance on the wrist much differently than basically any other strap. It's very comfortable, just the weight is distinctly distributed.
The buckle included is serviceable, if frumpy. On other more "traditional" straps, you can get a fancier buckle fairly easily - but given how lightweight this strap is and how small the holes are, you don't have many options that a) fit and b) don't mess with the weight distribution even further.
All in all, I do enjoy this strap on my Panerai once I get used to how it feels on the wrist. I think Vulture's other strap is a better value, as it feels more substantial and has more apparent signs of craftsmanship. If you're looking for a supple, comfortable strap for a wristwatch that wears light, this is a great choice. If you're looking to wear your watch around your ankle, order the 154/90 version.
I received the leather strap today and quickly put it on my Seiko Samurai Blue Lagoon. The strap is made out of a beautifully finished leather and it is very supple. It is definitely one of my most comfortable straps in my collection. One will have a very difficult time to find any flaws or imperfections. The stitching is perfectly symmetrical. This leather strap was constructed with quality as the top priority. I bought three 22mm and three 20mm.
More substantial than a deluca strap I got previously and should age nicely.
Will probably purchase a few more for my other watches if the drop happens again
Ordered a brown strap. Love the soft and supple quality. String is off white to yellow, giving it a vintage look. That suits me well. One of the nicest strap I bought from Drop.
I would buy again.
