Product Description
Made from Minerva Box, a rare vegetable-tanned leather from an artisanal tannery in Tuscany, these watch straps are tanned the old fashioned way, with extracts of bark and liquored with animal fats in wooden barrels. The leather itself is known for its soft temper and suppleness, so it will adapt to any wrist without a hitch Read More

Can somebody explain me how there's a lug size 20/16? That's 4mm difference, which size should I pick in case my pics measure 20mm ?

Oohhh okaay, great, then if there's only 1 number it means the strap is straight? Thank you so much for your response!

Any chance you'll be making a version for 23mm lug width watches?

Thank you so much, I haven't thought about doing that. Tried a size down once and it looked a bit off, size up should look better. Thanks again!

zmeerNo problem! Actually, that would be the other option, to go one size down. Chances are the 24mm will fit perfect, but maybe it won't pivot as freely depending on how thick the burnishing ends up being. At around 2mm thickness for the strap, it shouldn't be an issue, but if it ends up being a bit hard to pivot on the lug, lightly brush the edges of the strap with sandpaper were the springbar goes on the strap ends to remedy the problem.
If you don't want to go with sandpaper, just fit the straps in the lugs and pivot them with your hand; the edges of the lugs should do the same job as the sand paper.

Thinking to get a leather strap for Mondaine stop2go like photo below. Do you think a 2mm thickness strap looks good or should I go for thicker leather?

chongntHere’s my thoughts; I’d buy the watch on a stainless steel (generally) bracelet if offered. Then I’d pick up a nice thin leather strap for sporty wear and a nato or two for a pop of color. Here’s a Speedmaster MotM which I own to visually demonstrate;

webbji believe 2mm thick (see farther down in the discussions).
Hello Everyone, I am Will of Vulture Premium.
Thank you for your interest in my straps!
I will be monitoring the discussion closely and will try to answer questions as quickly as possible.
For more photos, different views, and higher zoom of these straps, here is a link to an Imgur Album: https://imgur.com/a/lZlTD
To avoid any confusion, these straps are 5oz leather which is 2mm thick. These would not be well suited for big heavy watches. I will get a photo of the strap I have been wearing for the last couple of weeks soon to give you and idea of how they break in.
This photo is of a fresh Minerva Box leather strap contrasted with a little snap wallet I carried for 1 month:

This should give you an idea of how this leather ages and patinas. It really becomes quite rich and beautiful.

Vulture_PremiumHi Will,
Ordered the brown strap for my Seiko Samurai blue lagoon without reading the comments first.. It has the following specs:
Case Width 43mm Case Depth 13mm
Would the strap pair well with it? Would have to cancel my order if you think it's a no go.

I have six or eight straps from Vulture Premium, in three leathers, Horween Derby (my favorite), Italian camo vachetta (nice, but the camo pattern is scaled for purses, not watch straps), and Tochigi leather. The design and workmanship is absolutely excellent, and the customizibility is appreciated. The price for this strap is really great. Here's the one warning I would make. The construction of all the straps above involves cutting the leather in a symmetrical butterfly pattern where the springbar will be in the center and the strap leather wraps completely around the springbar and is glued back to itself for the full length of the strap. Now that I read that, it's completely incomprehensible. Let's try again: The inside and outside of the straps is the same top surface leather, folded back on itself. Both sides can be conditioned with leather balm. The thickness is skived down at the springbar to avoid a big lump there. The strap here I think is made like a District Leather strap I bought here in Tochigi leather that I believe was subcontracted to Vulture for manufacture. There are no stitches along the sides of the strap because the leather only overlaps itself far enough to wrap around the springbar. It's skived down on the back and glued in, but the bulk of the rear of the strap is rawhide, not top leather. It's one layer, not two. This allows for a thin, flexible strap, and it uses less leather, so they are cheaper. At this point personal tastes enter the picture. I do not like single layer, rawhide backed straps. The reason is that they do not deal with sweat very well. This is more of an issue in summer and depends on how much you sweat. A lot of people have no problems with this. Two-layer straps can be made semi water resistant with leather balm or conditioner, but rawhide backed straps cannot. Leather is animal flesh which really wants, in its heart, to rot, and sweat, if you don't watch out, will help its on its merry way. The smell of a leather watch band subjected to too much sweat will never go away. You have to keep an eye on straps like this, taking them off is they get moist, letting them dry out, doing a nose check, etc.

Stupid question but...do these come with spring bars?
Watchyoutalkingabout
Nov 14, 2019
That’s the thing, I have a whole bag full of different sized and shaped spring bars. Now, it may be because they’re of the cheaper variety, but the problem is finding the right fit for the hole (Phrasing, that’s what she said, etc) trying to jam a spring bar that is too thick doesn’t work, and putting one that has an even slightly smaller circumference makes the watch wobble around.

WatchyoutalkingaboutAs long as it's not TOO much thicker, you can usually use, say, the flat of a (dull) knife to push it through. Done that many times. Hard to be sure, but the pics suggest a narrow slot. I'd lean to 1.5 mm. https://www.vulturepremium.com/ is the main web site, and he's got a form there to drop him a line...does he include spring bars, if not what width would he suggest...

@Vulture_Premium how come there's no option for size 21/18? I choose the 21/20 but it'd be great if you could include size 21/18 in future drops.

MelyndaThe 46mm galaxy watch takes 22mm bands and I believe the 42mm one takes 20mm bands.
