Excellent bag. I drag this thing around the globe, from the rain of Southcentral Alaskan bush planes to the sandstorms of the Middle-East to the gorillas in baggage claim - it stands up to the test. I was disappointed at how dirty it got the first time through the conveyor, but that's not the bag's fault. It keeps my stuff dry and together. Would love a detachable (velcro) center panel to divide it into section, but I stuff things into packable cubes to keep customs from trashing my stuff and that works too. I have two Mountain Hardware weatherproof bags which are sturdier, but they are also heavier. There are times when weight is a factor in small planes, this is my go-to bag for those times.

I love this bag for so many reasons! It's great for camping and canoeing, for starters. The bag is robust and the zippers are really great and haven't had any issues. I also use it to store sleeping bags and hammocks when I'm at home to keep the wet and bugs out. 10/10 cannot recommend more highly

I love this bag! I'm a water therapist, and I got it to carry my pool gear in. I didn't realize how big it actually was, so it's a little too big for my needs as a daily carry, but I plan on buying the smaller version at some point. I did use it on a road trip from NC to Florida recently, and it was perfect for all my gear, clothes, etc. Super sturdy, water proof. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that if you leave the backpack straps on it gets in the way of unzipping the bag. They're removable, so no biggie, but it would be nice to be able to have them on for trekking through the airport and still have quick access. I also wish it had more internal compartments for organizing, but again, still not a deal breaker for me, as I have travel organizer bags.

Great little bag, I bring it on my small sailboat as a gear bag. Just be aware this is not a "dry bag", the zipper is not waterproof, it just has a flap over it. But it's designed so that you can put it down on a wet surface, or leave it out in the rain, and for the most part the water will not make it through. Anyway it's great for environments like on a boat where it will get splashed, or you put wet gear inside, because the bag material will stand up to the marine environment. But don't bring it on your white-water rafting trip where the bag might fall into the water.

Limited utility. I'll be honest, I got the bag because I'm an idiot that fixated on the idea of an affordable, all-environments duffel. I already own four 3-day backpacks, one rolling luggage, one daypack, two commuter backpacks, and several cheap duffels, so that tells you I have some irrational desire for baggage.
But this this just won't fit my needs. At least not in the 12 months I've owned it. Not once, and I've been on several short trips, plane flights, and long trips. During those times I've either used a cheap duffel (overnighters), a 35L backpack and commuter backpack (for 5-day business trips), or rolling luggage (a month overseas). I feel like 60 liters fills a role I don't need.
Maybe it's different for you. Maybe you carry hockey gear and the shoulder straps and watertight material works for you. Maybe you go to adult toy conventions and need the ability to stuff very large objects into the generous and sturdily-zippered opening without various substances adhering to the fabric. I don't judge. But I'd like to be friends.

Got cuts through on the very first trip
Packed the bag for the first time, put in luggage in airport to discover a few short cuts through. Very disappointing.

I'll call this a long term review. I've owned this duffel for 12 months and it is my "go bag" for mountain biking. It carries clothes, helmet and shoes and goes from my house to the back seat of my car then back in the house. Last week I realized there is a big hole developing in the bottom of the bag and it needs to be retired. I was shocked as it hardly ever even gets put on the ground. I can only see this as a manufacturing flaw. If this bag is available again on a drop, frankly I'd avoid it.

sawatchboyThanks for the heads up this was exactly what I was going to buy this bag for... Might just go with another cheepo from amazon. Picked this one up in 2013 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026PEAFS and the zippers have finally kicked.

I use this bag for my canoeing trips. It’s well put together and keeps the rain out. It’s also a very nice look bag that’s easy to see. Very visible from some distance.
