With over 100 years of watchmaking expertise under its belt, Armand Nicolet knows how to craft a timepiece. The J09 is no deviation from that commitment to excellence. Featuring the manufacturer’s own AN2846-9 23-jewel automatic movement, which is visible via the display caseback, this watch features a 36-hour power reserve. Crafted from a thick piece of stainless steel with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the J09 is built for the long haul. The Guilloché decorated dial has bold rectangular indexes, a large Arabic numeral 12 at the top, and a day-and-date window at 6 o’clock. The grooved crown is embossed with the Armand Nicolet signature logo. Plus, the timepiece is water resistant to 50 meters.

In 1875 begins the story of Armand Nicolet, where, under his father, the founder of the same name started his watchmaking apprenticeship in the mountain village of Tramelan, Switzerland. In 1902, having demonstrated significant improvement in the trade, Nicolet created his first watch—an automatic rose-gold pocket watch fully loaded with a calendar and chronograph. After over a century of Swiss watchmaking tradition, Armand Nicolet continues to thrive as a boutique watchmaker dedicated to reproducing the timeless designs of old with respect to the modern world’s needs.
