By the way, last time I commented on this drop, MD's price was $529. Today many other sites list prices from $600 on up, if they have stock...
I generally advise looking at a video to determine what a watch looks like in-hand, before pulling the trigger. This video will make you want to reach through the screen and strangle the cheesy huckster trying to sell you the watch on a payment plan:

I did find a straight-on dial shot (rather the angled view MD and most everyone else is showing) on the manufacturer's site, however its a CG rendering so don't believe your eyes...

Final thoughts: they're not horrible watches and MD's price isn't the worst. In silver and on leather, they don't look bad--but as you can see in the shots @MarPabl posted last time, they look a little gaudy and cheap in two-tone versions, especially on the two-tone bracelet. As for the movement, odd that folks are singing its praises down below, but on another drops they tend to dump on it. I have no horse in that race--they all tick.I would guess the folks who go for one of these (rationalize the purchase) will do so primarily because of it's "classic 38mm size" (meaning they have skinny wrists and think anything over 40mm is Big Ben-territory) and for them, this could be an appealing option. One thing to keep in mind is that lots of sites I checked reported no inventory, meaning the usual discount sites may have milked this cow to down to the empty mark, and this may be the last of them.
That would be okay by me ;- )
Well, I got the watch, and clearly it is a return or a demo. Scratches on the side of the bracelet, unevenly inserted pins, not sign of any protective film on a watch, and the hanging tag is not on it, or anywhere in the box. Anyone else has the same experience?
