Right of the bat, I'm going to say I don't love the look of this blade in person, but that's just personal preference, if you like the blade profile it's a very well built knife.
Out of the box the sharpness is their typical even grind and nice edge. Blade is perfectly centered and action is pretty darn good (but I don't judge that till after cleaning and re-oiling myself)
After disassembly:
search
Pros:
-D shaped pivot AND matching D Shaped cutout in opposite liner!!! (this combo shouldn't seem like a big deal, but WHY do so many of their later models lose this simple, but important, feature??) -nice steel for the liners, firm lock pressure -liners are skeletonized and chamfered in all the right places -tolerances are tight on all standoffs and pins and the backspacer Cons:
Nothing major, just nitpicking- -plastic bearing housings again. They work fine, i just think their metal cage bearings have a slight edge over these -bearings sit in a cutout in the blade on this model, instead of in the liners. Don't know if this is literally a con or not, but I like the idea of not taking away steal at the pivot of a blade After cleaning and reassembly: The action/detent on this knife is the epitome of perfection in my eyes; can't shake it open no matter what, so passes the gravity assist opening restrictions. But still deploys easily with the flipper and locks with a satisfying snap every time. Drops shut smoothly with a single little shake once you get it past the detent ball.
Was surprised by the weight of the backspacer. On a 5.0oz knife, the backspacer weighs in at 0.5oz...10% of the total weight 😯 I think they could've skeletonized that as well, or gone a hair thinner to make the handle slimmer.... But the weight and thickness both do make it feel pretty satisfying in the hand, but it's definitely a bit handle heavy
One final criticism, the jimping for the thumb on the spine does nothing, my thumb just glides over its smooth edges. All in all, if you like the esthetics, I definitely recommend it for the build quality

I’ve got an old Spyderco “first one I ever purchased” it had a riveted blade, it works has just enough friction to keep it tight but it will open easy enough 👌 All my newer Spyderco’s are screws and are made very well 👍

8/10 very very good
This knife feels like a blunt instrument. It is short and wide, with a very straight, no-nonsense, aesthetic. It is quite heavy, probably the heaviest folding knife of this size that I own. The blade is completely devoid of swoops and curves, and it is a flat grind.
When you add all this up, you end up with an incredibly satisfying package. Everything about this knife feels solid, and satisfying and durable. Even the sound it makes on deployment feels sturdy.
Now to be honest, this is not a knife that is actually designed for hard work. It is a liner lock, and a flipper with no alternate means of deployment. So I wouldn't recommend this as a beater, but as a knife for your collection it is phenomenal. I can't overstate how satisfying it is to handle and deploy.
Of course it does have faults. The pocket clip is far too shiny, and is a magnet for scratches and fingerprints. The build quality is very very good, but not unbeatable, and the scales tend to retain dirt around the edges of the divots. But other than that, an excellent purchase.

By now, many of those participating in the various M’drops for the Bestech G-10 Series are familiar with the quality build of these knives. The BG10 Grampus is no exception either way. The blade came sharp, centered, and deploys in a smooth fashion with little or no wrist play, stays firmly secured at the pivot when deployed, and ‘drops’ right back into the handle upon release of the liner lock. The Grampus fits my large-ish hand near perfect. The scales, with a bit higher than average texture for grip, allows me to really secure the knife in my hand, regardless of my grip position. Based on sharpening other G-10 Series knives, the D2 steel on this knife should be no Different. If there is a single detail that I like Grampus over the other G-10 Series knives, it would be the glass breaker that doubles as a lanyard hole, or may be the hole doubles as a breaker... Either way, I like it. The reason for the 4 stars vs 5... no knife is perfect :) By the way, my favorite Bestech G-10 Series knife is the Lion.

Great knife, I purchased two of them. It has a smooth action, is razor sharp, and has a killer grip. I buy my Dad a cool knife every year or two and the last Kershaw lost its pivot retaining screw. He replaced it with some kind of home-engineering, but it was never the same - too much blade play, no spring assist, etc... Those are ok knives, and Bestech seems to run along the same affordable, EDC recipe. I inspected the Grampus pretty well before gifting it, and I believe this should hold up a little better than the other.

A thick D2 blade with a versatile shape. My only real reservation about caring this thing daily is that it's heft does not go unnoticed. But if you're already carrying a few pounds of tools, it's a solid knife.

A little bit large and thick for EDC, but a very nice knife for the price.

Decent little guy
Groove pattern on the handle scales give a lot of grip but can be slightly uncomfortable to some. Detent is strong on mine but I don't mind since it produces a fast complete open every time. Otherwise its another nice folder from Bestech

Grampus is a perfect EDC. Super sharp, smooth and extremely ergonomic. Smooth and sharp out of the box. This is hard to beat EDC. Beast!

I received my tan Grampus with the satin blade which was razor sharp when delivered and the sculpted G10 scales are beautiful with just the right amount of grip and the ball bearing pivot provides for the smoothest buttery action when deployed also just the right amount of gimping at the base of the spine of the blade and lastly the lanyard hole/glass breaker/skull crusher at the base of the knife finish off this beauty. Great customer service and fast shipping. 20 Stars********************:-)

Honestly, My only gripe at all with my Bestech collection is the size and weight. Fantastic knives, but it would be nice if they were 25% lighter and smaller. For EDC the Grampus is just too big and heavy. But WHAT a knife! Built like a tank!
