I don't think I said this last time this dropped, I'm pretty sure I've said it a few times before, but try dropping the Petite. You might be surprised, some people, myself included, enjoy variety. Seeing the exact same drops over and over again is becoming annoying, and I consider myself quite patient, bordering on extremely patient.

vynceWith this and the Kwaiken/damascus Kwaiken I've said the same thing almost every drop, hoping for a Kwaiken Mini. Usually a few others agree and hit like, yet Massdrop has done nothing about it. With so many of the same drops happening 2 or 3 times a year, and units sales in those knives dropping significantly and constantly being cancelled, you'd think they'd actually try to reduce the number of drops that become cancellations and try something different. But nowadays things that used to be common, like common courtesy and common sense, are no longer common.

The non-tanto version of this knife is about $65 everywhere. I do not understand why the tanto should be $20 more. I have the original, would be interested in picking up the tanto but can not get past that price differential.
This should be twenty bucks cheaper or the Grande size at this price IMO.

I was just wondering why the tanto is more expensive than the regular model. I know Kavik noted the compound grind on the blade might be a factor.
I couple sellers on Amazon have it for less than $80 at the moment, $82 from Amazon itself.

ponagathosnot sure why the big difference . but i always check amazon and ebay prices. so far this is 20 bucks cheaper. if you have a link to the one thats 80 please share it.

Well, the price is at best at the higher end of normal retail price. MD, you need to stop to match your price with what the producer recommends, and start to check actual market prices. Also, if you want international customers you need to consider that many have to pay import tax on top of it, in my case 25%. So, if you want international customers, then you need to step up your game a bit. Cheers.
