Praised by Wired, Stuff, and The Verge, the Impossible I-1 is the first new camera system for the original Polaroid photo format in more than a decade. Similar enough to the Polaroids of yore to feel familiar, the I-1 has been updated with a host of modern, user-friendly features Read More
ferduxI'd like to follow up that after messaging the Community Support, Jeff M. got back to me very quickly and has offered a refund for the add-on. Thanks guys!
Forget this! Get a Fujifilm Instax printer instead. The SHARE SP-2. You can take an image with your phone, dslr, scan, then EDIT it, and upload it to your phone and then use an app to print it out on Instax film. The resolution is much higher than the cameras, the results are far greater than any I've ever used. Everyone that's ever looked at my pictures say, "Every picture you take with that camera is perfect!" Of course I don't tell them that I perfect the picture before I actually print it!!!
I've had one of these cameras for a while now, and it's a fun photographic toy for a number of use. My biggest complaint is that the battery drains super quickly.
However at this price, i'd buy this. It's a fun piece of design and a fun thing to have out at parties etc. it's nice that it even comes with the bag. It's designed by Teenage Engineering who do some neat things with synthesizers and audio.
Currently rocking a Leica Sofort which uses Fujifilm Instax mini films. I love it for the relatively cost-efficient instaxes, since you can give out to people.
Does anyone have experience/access to both the I-1 camera and fuji instax cameras that can comment on their usage/preference?
SammiluxI like the Impossible and Polaroid format for the character that each picture takes on. Each photo is a little different than the last. Be aware that currently you must shield the pics from light for 20 minutes or so (each film is different). IP is getting better with this with each new generation of film and someday it may be instant like Polaroid is. The Instax format is consistent and honestly looks like a regular photo....a little boring.
"the company’s I-type film is optimized for I-type cameras and doesn’t contain batteries, making it more energy efficient." How is "energy efficience" really a feature?
DFPhoenix "The I-1 App makes it quick and easy to get a digital scan of your analog photo. All you have to do is take a picture of your instant photo with your phone, then select the corners of the image frame to crop and scan it, ready to be saved or shared online. "
It´s on the webpage, I gues the answer is yes and no
SlappaDaBassYou can still get a polaroid cheaper if you prefer that style. I don't think this camera is better in optics despite its size. This electronic toy has remote but I doubt it is necessary. I only wish fp100c could be revived.
