KantoLivingThanks KantoLiving!
I am actually debating between these and the Yumi... I know the Yumi just reached the 200 request quota, so maybe that drop will start soon.
I am looking to pair either speaker to the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable for a clean simple look (both in a gloss finish). I will be listening to mostly classic/current rock (zeppelin, foo fighters, the doors, etc.). I know I've read that the Yumi tends to have a warmer sound and would be better for my use.
Any input you have would be great. Cheers!
KantoLivingI think this could be unintentionally misleading. I live in Ottawa and the last time I purchased something over the border I had to pay duties/taxes. You wouldn't pay it here, but it's something you'll end up paying at the post office or when they deliver it to you at your door.
TurcodaBut KantoLiving is a Canadian company and if it is shipped directly from them the product would not be crossing the border... so there shouldn't be duty... right?
Chad87If it is the case hat they are shipping from within Canada, you are indeed correct. However, the price is quoted in USD and there is a possibility they could ship from a warehouse outside Canada. To be honest i would like to know the answer to this as well. No taxes and no duties sounds almost too good to be true, so I'm skeptical.
Chad87Sorry for the late reply, I was not checking the discussion over the weekend. As you have mentioned the YUMI's would work better in your situation. The tweeters on the YUMI's are more detailed making recorded instruments sound more realistic, and their warmer sound signature works well with analog sources like vinyl.
