Before this beauty gets here, do any of y'all seasoned audiophiles have recommendation for software I should be using with these for gaming? At the moment I have Razer surround pro installed and running for my Blacksharks, but I don't know if there would still be any point in using it with these.

xpertrPsalmThat surromind sound software is for 7.1 devices probably. You should not use that, though since these do not use the USB interface it should have any effect.

aceyActually, Razer Surround does not require your headphones to already be 7.1 or use a USB interface. It is quite the opposite actually. Razer Surround makes non-7.1 headphones have virtual/digital surround sound through some magic I am too lazy to explain. To answer xpertrPsalm's question, Razer Surround is a decent free software, but if you really want better sound, I suggest you get a soundcard like a Sound Blaster. However, you really don't need surround sound for most games.

CoollDaveAh okay my mistake. Thanks for the clarification. But +1 to the sound card suggestion. I got a Dragonfly Red DAC/Amp in preparation for these headphones. It really has made my other headphones sound great, hoping it will work well with the PC 37X too!

CoollDaveYeah, I might just have to get a soundcard. Thanks for the suggestion. Any particular card you would recommend? Btw, I'm a high ranking R6S player, so I'm kinda obsessed with the idea of surround sound (or a decent substitution). Being able to pinpoint people through walls will give me a serious edge.

xpertrPsalmGlad to see a fellow Rainbow Six player! I don't know what your budget is, but the Creative Sound BlasterX G5 is a great and relatively affordable external card. It will give you great 7.1 surround sound, amplify your headphones and clear up your microphone audio. Good luck and post again if you need any additional help!

xpertrPsalmI have the sennheiser gsx 1000 and this sound card is just amazing for virtual 7.1 surround sound. (but a little bit pricey). I really think it's the best 7.1 virtual surround soundcard you can get (and it looks amazing haha) If you want to hear how it sound check this review video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e_yVm-vcPM
