URRRRRRGH.... There's always something that's missing! Last drop you guys didn't have the size option I wanted. NOW you have the size and frame colour but not the bayonet arms I want!!! 1st world problems I know but dang it's bloody annoying! Rewind back to the original drop over a year ago! Grey polarized lens only, but choice of Gold, Chrome and Matte Chrome in all sizes with bayonet arms please!!! I'll buy multiples.
No pilot would ever wear any of these offerings - they’re all polarized! Polarized lenses obscure the sight picture out of the multilayered electronically heated windows found in cockpits and interfere with a pilot’s ability to read the primary flight display. For the next drop please offer non-polarized versions.
PilotMikeJust purchased two pair from Randolf. I’m not a pilot but spend a lot of time on the water. Polarized is a must. Price here is great but no bayonet temples. I paid retail but got exactly what I wanted. Best sunglasses on the planet. Enjoy!
willie2849Um....look at the description. Three lens widths are available, 52, 55, 58. And with how wide the bridge and nose pads are set with these, trust me that you have plenty of room for fit. Temples are slightly flexible but they don't need to be. Even the 52 model (small) fits larger faces because of the bridge. If you're unsure just go by overall frame front width. Temples don't need to be larger than 145 because the width itself is generous.
RIGHT!?!?! What happened to the bayonet arms? I'm looking to get the gunmetal or grey glass in 55 which wasn't in the last drop. The size is here and all the specs... except the arms! Sadly I may just buy them because the pair i have quickly became my favorite sunglasses.
frankdatank81Nah, personally, I’m gonna wait till they offer exactly what I want. Till then my 55mm Bayonet armed polarized RE will do just fine. It’s been solid for the past year & a bit. It’s still going strong.
I got my pair of RE aviators ( 52mm matte chrome agx non polarized ) in '96 at the Navy Exchange in Pensacola when I went through A school and Air Crew school. I'm still wearing them. That's damn near 23 years on the same pair of sun glasses. Can't speak highly enough about the quality and toughness of these glasses. You bet I'm gonna get a pair from this drop. Dont fly anymore so I dont care that they're polarized; even better.
Why offer the same sunglasses in two different drops instead of combining? Now I am unhappy with my purchase. If you're going to divide up the drops, al least offer them at the same time, not one after another. This makes me want to stop visiting the site out of spite.
jdakin170I have a pair of non polarized skull agx in 24 gold, 52mm and tried on all of the other color models before settling. Maybe it's just the tonality of how they look with the gold. They are imperceptibly green. But cut a sharp look in gold. I think I read about the clarity of agx lenses somewhere, too. If I was going to pull the trigger on this offering in 52mm I would go with grey polarized in gold. The tan lebses dont quite do it for me.
