Great pack that I use daily to haul a notebook and laptop to and from work daily. I put some d-clips on it and some MOLLE based water bottle holders, the complete package is perfect for my needs. I got one for my wife at the same as I got mine, and she took hers on a trip to AZ and used it while hiking in the Red Rocks, it held up perfectly.
Great bag for the price, the reason for only 4 starts is the relatively light shoulder straps and the flimsy connections to the top of the pack.
Worth the money tho!
It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I use it for carrying my electronics, etc. but that's it. It's "ok" but nothing great. Honestly I expected better from Rothco. I don't know what people are talking about as being the perfect size for "hunting trips, survival, etc...the thing isn't big enough for any of those activities.
The pack I got had a manufacturing error. One entire seam for the main pocket was never sewed at the factory. I got Massdrop to say they would accept the return and 2 weeks later I've still heard nothing.
Have Been using it almost every day for a year or so. I put it under a lot of stress, university, carry my skateboard, use it for camping. Hang heavy stuff on it. That being said, belt and chest straps were the first to go, poor design, not finished, they just come out to easy. Stitches are starting to break all around.
But very useful if you do not intend to carry a lot of weight :). I am a little disappointed tho
I'm pretty particular about bags... But this one I found really unfortunate. The straps adjust under weight and it just seems pretty poorly designed. I use it for a first aid kit in my truck, but I wouldn't use it for actually, like, carrying anything.
Overall it's a good build quality, slightly smaller than I expected but still can fit a beefy 15" laptop in the main storage. My big complaint is a lot of the straps are really loose. So loose that after my first flight with it, I lost one of the main wast straps that goes across your belly... hoping I can get it replaced.
