I have a quick question for those of you who are more familiar with these headphones. I've been looking at getting a pair of Sennheiser headphones & now these show up & I'm really interested. Although I do like to use my headphones on the go occasionally. In the description it says that these headphones "sound great straight out of a device". I'm skeptical, will a portable device even power these? If so, how well will they sound on a scale from 1-10? I know these will sound great plugged into some gear but I'd like to know how they or will they sound out of a device? Thanks

PgomezAt 95 ohms impedance, most mobile devices should be able to drive them _relatively_ well — you'll most likely just have to turn the volume on your device up higher than you usually would with headphones that are marketed as being "for" mobile devices (which are typically around 16-32 ohms).
FWIW, I used to use my old Sony MDR-V6 (63 ohms) and Sennheiser HD500 (150 ohms) to listen to music on my phone quite often, and they were fine. I just ended up having the volume on my phone set near the maximum, whereas with the ATH-M50x (38 ohms) I've been using more recently, the point where Android gives you an "unsafe volume" warning (~70%) is generally the loudest I listen to them (unless I'm in a particularly loud environment).
