Product Description
Made from sturdy materials, each Embrite Glow Fob from TEC Accessories features an Embrite tube that glows twice as bright as the previous TEC tubes. When exposed to light, they’ll glow for up to 12 hours—the longer the exposure time, the higher the light intensity Read More
DogenNah these work by “exposing to light” which is like watch lume. Probably a glow in the dark resin tube. That’s why it’s cheaper and much less hassle than a tritium keyfob. Don’t have to buy the keyfob then painstakenly track down where to buy the tubes and etc.
DogenNo need for ultraviolet resin and a flashlight here. There is an O-ring in the bottom of the cage you pullout. Remove the Embrite and slide in a trit vial, and that's it. I replaced ours with trits last year. Much better than the Embrites which don't stay lit for very long.
I've got trits coming that should fit the two I just received. Anyone know how to get these open? they don't appear to unscrew from what I have attempted.
UPDATE: So got the trits the other day and figured out how to install them (O-Ring in bottom). Still, a little underwhelmed. This is my first experience with glowing fobs.
The Embright resin inserts were indeed bright, but only lasted 1 - 2 hours at best. Then they are extremely dim after that & not much use. Suprisingly, the trits are not that much brighter than the dim Embrights, but at least they remain lit through the night. I guess my expectations of such key fobs was greater than reality. Live and learn. 😏
Harley Spalinger makes the nicest tritium lanterns in my opinion.
I own a brass one he made several years ago with 2 vials of tritium inside.

This is the cheaper powder resin mix..... only glows if exposed to light and does not stay bright very long.
Get the "real thing", Tritium vials inside similar lanterns that does not need to be exposed to light to glow, glows for 12 years.
Green is the brightest.
Tritium vials/lanterns can be found on eBay or direct from China where I get mine from.
So as mentioned this is my review with this little monster:
Firstly comparing with ordinary GID toys:

the Embrite glowing because it absorbed the light all day as I opened it in the morning and left it be on the desk.
Then I use UV flash light to develop more strong and intense of absorbing.

and then I turn the light off.
(sorry for low quality image due to the fewer light and I don't have any tripod with me at that time)

Well the capsule shine so bright and even brighter than the toys (in fact I used UV flash light only 3 secs.)
and when the light is on it still glow which very satisfied me. So this is very useful for your EDC such as attach it to something you always want to find when you were in the dark situation and don't want to turn the light on (ie. don't won't to wake someone up)
