The Ultimate Racing Tent
Holding the Guinness World Record for lightest double-wall shelter, the Terra Nova Laser Ultra 1 is built for adventure racing and other short-duration trips where low weight is key. Made from the company’s super-light, strong, and waterproof ULTRA fabric, it packs down to a compact 15 by 2 inches. It weighs 20 ounces with the included stuff sack, and to pare down further, you can use an extended guy line in place of the carbon-fiber support poles for a minimum tent weight of just 17 ounces. The Laser Ultra 1 uses scandium alloy poles and pitches with the fly and inner together for a fast and easy solo setup out in the field.
Note: Because this tent is not freestanding, it requires the included guy lines to be pitched. A ground sheet is not included.
Even Lighter
The Laser Ultra 1 is compatible with the Terra Nova FASTPACK system. For anyone looking to trim weight further when conditions permit, this allows you to use the flysheet (and no inner) with the FASTPACK ground sheet (not included).
