I bought a pan on the last drop. I have not been successful cooking with a SS pan. Everything sticks. I have just seasoned the pan, which some say is not necessary. I will give it another chance....
Jimbo65The point of stainless steel pans is for meat to stick to it while searing... Meat naturally let's go when it's formed a sear, and you build fond on the pan that you can deglaze and make pan sauce.
First off, the description is misleading. All 3ply Viking cookware is Made In China. All Viking cookware sets are also Made in China. The 5 play is made in the USA. Also Viking doesn't make it's own cookware. It's all made via a company called Clipper Corporation. If you don't believe me call me 1-877-533-2547. Sad but true. I don't buy made in China stuff. My last China purchase was an All-Clad Non stick that I was told had a Life Time warranty and was made in the USA. That too was a huge lie. I still have both of them in my drawer as a reminder to not waste money on Made in China crap
Triv1umWell it doesn't need to be seasoned...unless you want it to be less prone to sticking.
I think the mirror polish refers more to the exterior, which is also not going to remain that way long either unless you cook with induction and are up for gentle hand washings.
Some cookware brands (like WMF) do mirror polish the interiors as well for some reason that escapes me.
