The 'soft insole' mentioned in the product description is the small piece of leather on top of jute midsole pictured or is it a removable layer not shown in pictures?

Hi Tomas, it seems the comments say this drop runs big while the listing says the shoes run a bit small, what should I go for? I wear a size 10D for sperries which also stretch like espadrilles do. Thanks!

I'm sorry I just became confused. I realize that every place I've checked recommends sizing up half if in between sizes, but (in my mind) your statement contradicts that suggestion unless I'm getting something wrong. ^^'

payodpandaThat is correct. In the case of these espadrilles (and all of Viscata lineup for that matter) the recommendation is that you size up when in between sizes (for example i'm a size US 9.5 in the Brannock, and i'd go with a size US 10 on these). What I was trying to say before is that these are made a little bit better in terms of structure and materials, and also Viscata (and most quality Spanish espadrille makers) have adjusted their sizing not to confuse people and make sure they can go with their regular size. They did this by making each size just a bit snug instead of asking people to size down, which is confusing for most folks trying out espadrilles for the first time. Seems like we're both the same size (about a true US 9.5) and i'd still suggest you go with the 10's. Thanks again for your interest on this drop! :)

Just got them. Look great, feel great, but sizing completely off. Based on conversations here, I opted for 8. Way too big. The suggestions were to size up half. Should actually have been to size DOWN half at least. Want to hear what others who ordered think.

I am a true size 10D Brannock, and went with a size 10 US / EU 43 shoe. Here is the support email I got back from Viscata for this model shoe.

Ian, I'm 7.5 (AE) and 6.5 (meermin). There is no 7.5, any plans to expand the sizes?

red_devilFor you I'd actually recommend an 8. They don't do half sizes, and suggest that people size up a half if in between.
