I am laughing right now because some ppl against me in Noble X Massdrop

More drivers doesn't necessarily mean better sounding you know
tfcheungWhy does Campfire Audio's top of the line product have a single dynamic driver when they have hybrids and 5 BA driver iems? Relative to each other in the same company, you might have a point but even then you're assuming too much: that all drivers are tuned the same way and that all drivers used are of the same quality.
tfcheungHe Just referred to quantity unequal quality. If you have more drivers of the Same quality ( if they match of course) it should be an improvement to less.
At least that's how I unterstand it
zakalwe Campfire Vega is NON-CRYSTALLINE DIAMOND DYNAMIC DRIVER , it's such as the traditional design a driver, that's good on bass and singer voice but poor on detail and live area range.
The Nobel and Weston are the "metal" drive unit, those are good at instrument, live area range and detail , it should better in more drives.
Your point isn't fully correct because it's difference type of drives .
Sorry for my poor English because I am a ESL
tfcheungYou didn't specify type of driver. You just argued that more drivers are better sounding. So technically the Vega argument is fine. And the guy in the Noble X drop is simply responding to your statement: "Wow, 2 drives only..." and he said that more isn't necessarily better. Which, again, he is technically correct in saying. Look, I just react to people trying to belittle people online, and that's what you are doing to SRTChris112; it's not necessary. Your English is fine, don't worry about it.
zakalweYour tolerant quite wide XD btw thanks
Okay, let we assume Noble X and Westone 30 are using "metal" drive, I believe it is.
Then Noble X has 2 drives then which is mean only can be high + low or high + mid or mid + low then which is not balance? Westone 30 is 3 drive I searched it's 3 balanced drives which means high + mid + low.
Then bro you think which will better? Both are big brand. In my opinion, Westone/UE is real larger than Noble in IEM.
Actually you are right its not necessary to argue back XD anyway I wanna point out this IEM is better deal than Nobel X Massdrop one.
tfcheungLol. No worries... In this case...probably true. Westone are known for being the inventors of inner ear monitors. However, Noble's CEO is nicknamed the Wizard by audiophiles (and for good reason). Again, all BA drivers are not the same - different manufacturers, different sound signatures, different outputs etc. And that's BEFORE it gets to an engineer who tunes them. There is theory, and then there's practice. Otherwise anyone could reverse engineer everything and put more drivers in. Like for like, more is probably better. But no, you can have a single BA driver with full range...they don't all come as Bass, Mid, or Treb. Each one can be balanced and tuned. Hence 'full-range balanced armature driver'
And as for brands, means nothing. Beats and Bose are BIG brands! Know what I mean?!
zakalwe:S If a no name brand gives many drives in a IEM that might not better than a big brand IEM manufacture that gives less drives in a IEM.
In this case, since both are the big brand, although I don't see who's using Noble, so I believe balanced is better than non-balanced.
Beats isn't a headphone brand for me at alllllllllllllllllllllllll.
Bose is a good home theater brand but not really in IEM
tfcheung...but why do you keep saying a 2 BA driver iem is not balanced?
I agree re: Beats and Bose but that's my point man. They are huge brands but that isn't an indication of good sound.
tfcheungA balanced armature just means that a magnetic 'armature' (kind of a little rod) is balanced within another permanent magnet. Electric current makes the armature (rod) rotate and exert force on the diaphragm (speaker). A SINGLE DRIVER can have full range across frequencies. Some full range drivers can be used within multi-driver systems. So 1 driver per ear can be enough. Then, design of acoustic chambers and stuff can make them have different signatures even after the driver moves.
"Balanced" is simply because the armature (little rod) is balanced within the permanent magnet.
tfcheungActually more the drivers, more the crossover problems it might get. So it is safer to go with single drivers or just go with some superbly engineered multi driver options like Shure SE846 etc. I woud not bother with cheap multi driver IEMs.
