Glen8Jeez fellas, when I said 'these Zeppelin watches'. I just meant the brand, not this model. Sorry to get you all twisted up. I own this watch I''m not saying it's bad, it's just turned up at every discounter and overstock clearance site so I was hoping for something more unique. Shame on me for that! I'll never live this down...hey how many years in a row can you have a hundred year anniversary does anyone know? Lol sorry I couldn't resist. This watch WAS really cool when it came out though
Glen8You can't buy automatic version of this watch for under $200. Auto chronographs are equipped with Swiss made automatic movement ETA 7753 and sell for over $1,000.
I have the Hindenburg with moonphase in quartz. I highly recommend it to anyone. I believe that the thin bezel makes it the most beautiful watch in my collection.
the pictures are not of the same watch. The one with the steel band has a pulsometer and no alarm. is that the one in the drop or is it the other watch with a steel band? I prefer the one pictured.
CloacaSad but true!
Discovered the limitations of similar watches a few drops back—nice to look at, but damn near impossible to read. Might be able to distinguish the Time of Day, but unless you’re in the 20/20 club, don’t expect much real functionality beyond that.
I have the version with the leather band and the alarm. I LOVE THIS WATCH and paid $50 more than this when it was on sale around Black Friday a few years ago. This is the watch that got me started into buying waaaaay too many watches. I own 4 Graf Zeps and they are all well made and handsome pieces. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong buying either of these and I may join the drop for the pulsometer version. FWIW, for me the alarm function is worthless, as I can't hear it at all (I don't hear whistles at sporting events either, so it's not the watch, it's my crappy ears). Cheers everyone!
PhlyI can relate! I have a Seiko Premier kinetic perpetual calendar that I bought myself after finishing grad school...that's what started the itch to buy way too many watches.
waseem88khanI'd say the cheapest way to accomplish a swiss automatic here would be to throw a DD module on an EAT2824 or modify the design for a 7750. in either case you aren't getting an automatic swiss chrono for $500.
MrtzaHi
I never said I expected a Swiss Chrono for less than $500
I said I wish Drop would offer the automatic Zeppelin Chrono as a option obviously at a discounted rate. If I wanted to pay RRP I wouldn’t be commenting on here
