A medium-sized fixed blade fit for the great outdoors, the Fallkniven Kolt KKLz is made with the company’s laminated cobalt steel, which is hardened to 60 on the Rockwell scale for an edge that’ll hold through taxing work and light duty. At 3.4 inches, the blade is large enough to handle most tasks, like shaving wood, piercing cans, cutting rope, and more Read More
This small knife fits perfectly in my XL- glove sized hands. It comes with a high-quality leather sheath as well as a plastic blade guard that permits discreet pocket carry without the sheath. It is perfect for small camping and everyday tasks, takes a sharp edge and holds it well. If you like the design and size of this small knife, do not hesitate.
I carry this knife primarily as a paring knife when cooking outdoors. It works well in a reverse grip to peel fruit and vegetables, and the upswept blade is good for slicing into meats. Its size is definitely a compromise between utility and portability and strikes a good balance. My only negatives for it, and they are not big enough to stop me from using it, are the factory edge and blade thickness. For my intended use, the edge was a bit thick. The “ICE” geometry isn’t bad, but it’s more of a utility edge than a true slicer. However, this is not a hard steel to sharpen and I had the bevel where I wanted it in no time (it remained convex as I sharpen free hand on water stones). The blade thickness could have been a bit less for my purposes, but it’s acceptable. As for the handle, it's comfortable enough for kitchen tasks and cleans up easily.
Love, love, love this knife.
This really is a perfectly designed user knife.
From materials to workmanship to design its a homerun.
I was hesitant at first, it looked kinda homely but in hand it fits like a glove, extremely comfortable. The size makes for easy carry and is a very practical size as you can make use of every bit of the blade. I always wanted a convex and this being just a simple full convex makes for a super easy to use tool. The steel is also great.
Finally, what closed the sale for me is the wonderful leather sheath although I am actually using the El cheap zytel sleeve more than I had thought as its intended, a pocket knife.
A genuine sleeper of a knife. Surprised its not far more popular.
Nevermind the fact that Drop uses Fed-Ex and it took 16 days to be delivered compared to what it takes the USPS which is 3 days for the same trip. My issue is this $250 knife is brand new but has a 5mm long rollover in the convex edge near the hilt. Where is the quality control? It's not like I can fix it on my KME because it'

s convexed. I don't blame Drop but I'm blown away that a Fallkniven came so imperfect! This is probably my last purchase here.
blendergasketI know just never used one before so I'm an amateur in that sense. It will get used and sharpened eventually just disappointing from such a high end manufacturer to get a damaged factory edge. Looked into it a bit and Fällkniven basically state that every blade that comes out of there is perfect and any damage comes from the middlemen so no help there.
I initially thought I would probably want to use this with the leather sheath rather than the plastic blade guard, but after a while it turned out to be more useful in a pocket than dangling. I’m not used to a small fixed blade (I’ve carried folders for most of my life) but it hides in my pocket and doesn’t have a clip to announce itself, plus the crazy sharp edge makes for a very handy little knife. The handle is reasonably grippy and comfortable, though I might eventually need to look into a different blade guard; I’m not sure how long I would want to trust the plastic. Overall a great little knife.
Haven't had a lot of time to use it hard, but it's small enough for every day carry and use especially with the little plastic blade cover. It fits nicely in my back pocket or even the front pockets of a pair of chinos. I do love the convex edge. A couple of swipes on 3000 grit and it's like new. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a solid but relatively short blade. It will probably replace a number of my pocket knives.
This is an interesting design - it's just big enough to be versatile and small enough to be non-intrusive. I prefer the leather sheath, but would like to see it without the hinged top piece. Fills a nice spot as a middle weight.
Equivalent to F1, but way more cute ^^
It's my prefered EDC today just because I find it beautiful.
Razor shape out of the box, it slices wood and dry sausage like a cucumber haha ! I know the Co steel will retain the edge very long time but I know also it won't be easy to sharpen, especially convex edge.
It's very strong, I love the grip too and the shape of the handle, adapted to its tiny size.
