Really nice for car rides or cat naps. Comfy, soft, and warm at 40 degrees. I can’t tell which side is water shedding so it won’t become wet weather cover-up - consider a discrete label on one side or maybe it doesn’t matter? Some button holes around the edges would allow an improvised bivy, lean to, poncho or place to attach the included stuff bag. How about a rescue orange on one side color option?

This thing is warm, large, and damned light. Larger than the down blanket that's in another drop. It's a darned good blanket but, as with the down blanket, not dog drool proof. :D

Bought this as a cheap camping/emergency vehicle blanket, so I can't really speak to it's day-to-day durability or suitability as a hard core piece of trekking gear, but the few times it's been used around a campfire it's been convenient, kept kids warm and happy, and done pretty much what I'd hoped it would do.  The materials seem of decent quality, the build seems durable enough, and it packs down small enough that I can tuck it away in my vehicle storage wells and not have it take up cargo room.  The best recommendation that I can give it is that I am looking to get another one for a second vehicle.

Second one I've gotten; that are compact, well made, like everything I've gotten from Snugpak. Its warm; and ideal for my kayak trips as well as mountain camping trips in the summer, spring and fall when warm days give way to chilly nights. It fits in a tiny stuff sack with compression strapes. Fits easily in hatches or backpacks, great back up or add on to sleeping bag or hammock camping trip. As usual with Snugpack, the construction is top quality.

It’s warm! I didn’t know it could not be machine washable (That is some fine print for ya). Really? It’s a small thing, I know. But, who wants to spot wash a blanket? I don’t! I thought it was like a high tech Army poncho liner. That shows that YouTube videos reviews are not real reviews. Check out Snugpak’s website on care....

A solid 3 stars and for the price I paid for it a good buy. The blanket is rated at 40 degres F and I used it as a supplemental cover to my 20 degree down bag when camping in Utah at 15 degrees and it got the job done. That being said it is not the end all and be all of blankets. Cons: I found that the travel soft insulation, snugpak's proprietary "high loft" fill slid around in the baffles and did not reach out the edges of the blanket all the way around. Also, I found packing this blanket to be more difficult than other reviews led me to believe. It is very slick and had a tendency to pop or slip out when I rolled it up and tried to stuff it in the bag. Finally, for a 40 degree cover it is quite heavy. On the up-side, while it is heavy, the material is supposed to be antibacterial, antimicrobial, (not sure what the difference is between these two) windproof and water resistant and does seems like it will stand up to abuse. I will continue to use it to see. Bottom-line opinion. For the price you could pick one up, throw it in your vehicle or BOB and always have a tough back-up blanket. However for If you are hiking, and have the money to afford it, I would suggest a dry-down or equivalent down comforter with a lower temperature rating.

I just used the blanket over the weekend on a Scouting Campout. I do hammock camping. The blanket along with my under quilt was perfect for the chilly windy night (41°F/5° C) . I was warm all night and it is light in the backpack.

This is the second one I bought. Very warm, light and quite compact. The price is also great. Highly recommended for both indoor and outdoor use!

It's exactly what it's supposed to be. Super light weight and relatively warm.
